Event description:

E.L. Achieve’s Symposia are an annual opportunity for partner district teams to strengthen leadership, evaluate progress, and refine their approach to serving English learners well.

This year, our Symposia will be offered virtually through a series of live Zoom sessions. The content will be spread over the course of a week so participants can choose sessions of interest at convenient times. You can choose to attend either of these two Symposia weeks:

  • April 26-30, 2021
  • May 3-7, 2021

Through numerous conversations with our partner systems, we understand the challenges educators, students, and families are facing. These rich conversations are shaping our sessions for this year’s Symposia.

Monday through Thursday of each week will include initiative-specific sessions dedicated to deepening learning for classroom, site, and district-level practice, as well as sessions applicable regardless of initiative.

Our Expo session will also look a little different this year. We want to keep the spirit of sharing alive in our community, so we’re asking our partners to create short videos that will be posted on E.L. Achieve’s new YouTube channel. This is an opportunity to showcase your successes!

For the Friday of  Symposium week, we are asking district teams to set time aside to reflect on the work of this year and plan for the summer and next school year. E.L. Achieve staff will be available to answer questions and provide support.
