To assist districts in implementing Systematic ELD (English Language Development), we have developed two Focused Approach to Systematic ELD Instruction Handbooks; one for Elementary teachers and one for Secondary teachers. Each handbook includes a detailed framework for designing an ELD program that teaches and practices the vocabulary and grammatical forms of English for a wide range of purposes at each level of proficiency.
