Secondary Constructing Meaning: Explicit Language for Content Instruction (20-hour institute)

For secondary English-Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science teachers of long-term English learners to incorporate explicit language lessons into their content area instruction. A Focused Approach District Implementation Plan must be shared with E.L. Achieve to participate.

Elementary Constructing Meaning: Explicit Language for Literacy Instruction (20-hour institute)

For elementary teachers of English learners to incorporate explicit language lessons into literacy instruction. A Focused Approach District Implementation Plan must be shared with E.L. Achieve to participate.

CM Implementation Support Follow-up Session (1-2 days)

E.L. Achieve consultant and district leaders conduct classroom observations to *collect information regarding implementation of A Focused Approach for Constructing Meaning Instruction. Constultant works with district team to review information from classroom observations and provide technical assistance in planning for ongoing implementation support.

NEW! Elementary Constructing Meaning: Explicit Language for Literacy Instruction Presenter Seminar (five-day event)

We welcome currently certified Systematic ELD presenters who meet the criteria below to add Elementary Constructing Meaning to their certification by applying to participate in the New Presenter Seminar by TBD.

  1. Have an elementary literacy instruction background,
  2. Are part of a district that has participated in a Leadership Overview session and has submitted a district Focused Approach Implementation Plan, and
  3. Agree to present Elementary CM only in their district or as contracted with E.L. Achieve.

Taking Secondary Constructing Meaning to the Next Level (one-day Ongoing Certification event)

E.L. Achieve invites you to attend a day of learning and professional collaboration designed to support certified CM presenters and district leads. Participants will be introduced to new CM materials and have opportunities to learn and share from one another.

This event fulfills one of the annual CM recertification requirements for currently certified CM presenters. District, site, and grade level team leaders are also encouraged to attend.
